San Tan Behavioral Health is proud to offer a Weekend Respite Program designed to support children and adolescents ages 7-17 in a safe, structured, and nurturing environment. This program aligns with ADHS (Arizona Department of Health Services) and AHCCCS (Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System) standards, ensuring high-quality care and services tailored to the needs of families and youth.
Our weekend respite program is an opportunity for families to recharge while their child participates in therapeutic, recreational, and social activities aimed at enhancing emotional well-being, skill-building, and positive peer engagement.
Program Features
Age-Appropriate Activities
Programming is divided into age groups (5–9, 10–13, and 14–17) to ensure developmentally appropriate activities and interactions.
Therapeutic Support
Activities are led by trained and credentialed behavioral health staff, incorporating social skills training, emotion regulation techniques, and self-esteem-building exercises.
Recreational Opportunities
Children engage in arts and crafts, team-building games, outdoor play, and mindfulness exercises that promote both relaxation and physical activity.
Safe and Secure Environment
Our facilities are designed to provide a safe and welcoming space for children, following all ADHS licensing and AHCCCS guidelines for behavioral health services.
Healthy Meals and Snacks
Nutritional meals and snacks are provided to meet the dietary needs of each participant, including accommodation for allergies and dietary restrictions.
