Julie Ramirez, BHT
Respite and Weekend Life Skills Manager
Julie Ramirez currently co-manages the respite and weekend life skills program for SanTan Behavioral Health and oversees the Young Adult Services program. Julie has worked for STBHS for over 9 years. She has been dedicated to helping youth and families throughout her career as a public school teacher, juvenile detention manager, juvenile court educator, GED teacher, and in her current position at STBHS. Julie has seen the positive effects that therapeutic support and positive connections have on children, young people, and their families.
Julie completed her master’s degree at Eastern Kentucky University in Correctional and Juvenile Justice and a bachelor’s degree from Cal Poly Pomona in recreational administration. She also earned an elementary education teaching credential from Cal State Northridge.
Julie feels working in behavioral health helps her learn and grow as an individual and the work she does supports her values of resilience, empathy, and acceptance. Julie believes we all need connections in our life to feel safe, valued, and heard.
Julie enjoys snowboarding, travelling, and spending time with her expanding family including nine grandchildren residing from Arizona to Massachusetts.
