Melissa Nelson, MA, LPC

Melissa Nelson is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with more than twenty-five years of behavioral health experience. She is a co-founder of STBHS.

Melissa’s purpose in founding STBHS was to start an agency that could give back to the communities it serves, in tangible ways. The founders of STBHS have been able to do this by sponsoring youth athletics, sponsoring school activities, providing holiday meals and food to families, and providing healthy meals to clients while in our care.

Still actively involved in the agency, Melissa is passionate about the services provided, as well as providing growth opportunities and development for staff. Melissa feels honored to have watched the evolution of long time staff members as they grow both personally and professionally.

Melissa earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Grand Canyon University, and her Master’s in Community Counseling from Northern Arizona University. Melissa is also an adjunct faculty at Grand Canyon University, and teaches Psychology.
